Over the past decade, many law enforcement agencies have come to recognize that they are now Global Policing Agencies, by virtue of their daily operational duties--responding to requests for assistance in contacting constituents for relatives from abroad; seeking needed information about constituents from foreign relatives, contacts and governments; and investigating scams, fraud that has connections abroad.
For more than a decade, major law enforcement associations have had Committees and Programs focused on Global Policing, These trends will only continue as the Globe gets smaller. GPS will be on the leading edge of advancing Global Policing.

Though many Law Enforcement-only information sharing networks still exist, US Federal Agencies, INTERPOL and leading US local law enforcement agencies have all moved to expand informaation sharing networks to include vetted and trusted corporate security departments, large and specialized Contract Security Firms, Cybersecurity Firms, and

Law enforcement leaders know that private security firms have access to large sets of information that can be used and useful to law enforcement, and that many firms want to share information with Law Enforcement. They also are aware of the Network Effect, which posits that the usefulness of a network inceases with the number of users.
GPS will be on the forefront of public safety and public security information sharing networks, adding value by increasing users, alway under the control and ownership of the information owner.
GPS Mission STATEMENT
To Advance Global Policing & Expand Information Sharing between Local Law Enforcement Agencies and Law Enforcement-vetted and trusted Private Sector Partners and Government Officials.
Operating under law enforcement and other public interest governance policies, GPS will focus on growing the positive Public Safety impact of these relationships by introducing more efficient, effective and forward-looking technologies, by increasing the size of the markets these groups serve, and operating across manmade borders and cultural barriers largely ignored by criminals and terrorists.
GPS will build on lessons learned by law enforcement in dealing with international organized crime, terrorism and the cyber threat, and will serve as a vehicle to consolidate and expand information sharing networks by incorporating proven governance and information sharing policies and practices to materially expand the effective response to 21st Century Public Safety Threats.
